COMPANY PROFILE

We want to be recognized, by any measure, as the best conventional ship discharger in Europe

ENBO is widely known as a leading service provider for customers trading/handling in pulverized materials such as cement, GGBS and fly-ash.

ENBO challenges itself on building sound & transparent working relationships not only with our employees but also with our customers and suppliers.

Trust, open communication and cooperation are the cornerstones of everything we do.

In the Netherlands we operate mostly with our pumping vessels, ‘MS Rigel’ and ‘MS Fatima’ capable of pumping 70 tons/hr upto 350 tons/hr.

Internationally we use our road mobile units. We can discharge vessels up to 5500 dwt. The road- mobile units give us the great flexibility we require to serve so many different locations across Europe.

Nowadays we discharge vessels on various locations in The Netherlands, Belgium, England, Scotland, Ireland and North-Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, France, Spain, Italy and Poland.

Our broad knowledge and expertise enable us to deal with any situation in a tailor-made, customer- specific way.

Ownership structure

ENBO is a part of the LABEKO GROUP

LABEKO has other subsidiaries as BCK ( ready mix plant ), GAVAKO ( maintenance workshop ) and CEMBELA ( cement Import )

History

– 1945

Just after WWII a company was established tradings and gravel in Koudekerk aan den Rijn, near Leiden, between Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

They transported the materials in bulk with two river freighters to ready-mix and precast factories. Cement was shipped in bags in those days which was labour intensive and very costly, ineffective way. It was starting to be a bulk product but vessels were discharged by grab. Cement handling was a very dusty business, with a high price tag.

This created a revolutionary idea in the early 50ties. A vacuum-pressure system was developed especially for conveying the raw material, quick, dust- free and from the ships hold directly to the required location.

– 1954

Announcment of the world’s first Mobile
pneumatic ship unloader.

It was a former tugboat on which a pneumatic
conveying installation was mounted. It was tested
and appeared very succesfull. That same year
they created ‘ENBO’.

– 1958
By trading sand and gravel they knew the concrete end-users market and started a ready-mix in Koudekerk aan den Rijn, called ‘Betonmortel Centrale Koudekerk’, or BCK. This mill is renewed and updated several times to be up to date.

See www.bck.nl for more info.

– 1968
The company GAVAKO was established for maintenance and repairs of the fleet and all machinery.

– 1979
ENBO introduced The worlds First “Road Mobile” Ship Unloader. The company succeeded in designing installations so compact that they could be put on specially designed trailers, which are allowed on the public road. The Road mobile unit had such great advantages that companies all over Europe showed interest in this pneumatic ship unloader.

– 1995 – present
The markets changed, more and more pump vessels were taken out and road-mobile units were used to serve customers across Europe.
